        Hi, need some guidance.

My maternal uncle is taking a bank loan and plans to mortgage his property. Our properties are adjacent and part of the same survey number in Bangalore Rural , but I have my own portion with mutation khata and it’s identified in my sale deed (also mentions chakbandi).

The buildings are physically joined, but my land + structure is separate in possession.

He has verbally assured that my portion won’t be included.

        My concern:
Since land is unconverted and no separate municipal khata, can the bank still treat the entire property (including my portion/building) as collateral if he defaults?

Any advice from people who’ve dealt with similar situations would really help.
