I am CA working in the GST team . It’s been 10 months into this job.We have fixed deadlines by which we need to file data on GST portal. We were highly understaffed. We were only 2 people in GST team – me and my manager. So all the data preparation was done by me. Now the monthly revenue is 1000cr and inward supplies are huge too.
I worked all festivals, national holidays, almost every 2nd weekend. My average working are 9-10 hours every day. Because of this my mental and physical health got affected. My relationship got affected.
My manager triggered me 2 days back saying taunting me on one small things.
I told my manager to get me compensated for all these months. He told that we are in compliance so we need to work on weekends. So I asked him then why are we not compensated for this overworking and why is finance head and all managers above me not working on festivals and weekends.
Also we hired a CA for temporary basis from big 4. She never worked on weekends. Even during Diwali and new year she went for vacation and I was only working and she is getting paid twice as I am.
Also I have countless record of chats with my manager late nights where I am sending him data, replies to mails etc
I am in process of looking for other job but all the pain this job has given me, I want to raise my voice against it. How do I approach it. Can I sue the company. -
