March 15, 2025 at 4:37 pmSomeone that I have had physical relations with had recorded videos of me without my consent and is uploading on reddit. They blocked my reddit account and posted an intimate pic of mine which he took without my consent. I created another account because I wanted to check why I couldn’t find his account anymore. I texted him and he deleted the picture.
He has now uploaded a video of mine.
What should I do? He is a working professional and I am just a student. I am really stressed about it.

March 15, 2025 at 4:46 pmI mean do something similar. Get the screenshots and proof that the reddit account is your ex’s. Somehow contact the HR and talk over the email that one of their employees is doing such shit. Take a screenshot of the email, send it to your ex and demand all the content to be deleted or else he will lose his job. Or just get the police involved.-

March 15, 2025 at 4:54 pmIf a HR takes action against an employee just because a random person made some allegations, that’s a really shitty HR and company.OP should involve the cyber cell in this, not the HR.

March 15, 2025 at 4:47 pmYes you can, even if your face is not visible he can’t circulate nudity or obscene content online. The IT Act specifically addresses the publication and transmission of sexually explicit material online, which is a criminal offense.-

March 15, 2025 at 5:45 pmSec. 66E, Sec. 67 & 67A, these are all the provisions of IT Act, 2000. Even if her face isn’t visible, she could file complaint and even if the court failed to identify or connect the video to OP he would still be liable for the offense.

March 15, 2025 at 4:48 pmI’m sorry to hear this. The egregious acts of that person are a violation of your privacy and a serious criminal offense. You should immediately report the matter to the cyber cell, as sharing intimate content without consent is punishable under the law. Additionally, gather all evidence.. screenshots, links, any communication with him rtc. to strengthen your case. It’s quite possible that you might not be his only victim so taking legal action can not only protect you but also prevent him from harming others. All the best. -

March 15, 2025 at 5:14 pmIt depends on city. If it’s Mumbai, they are helpful. If it’s bangalore, take from st_broseph reddit user.
If it’s Delhi, you can try but cops refuse FIR
If it’s Hindi state, you are in tough spot.
He won’t delete it btw. At some point, he might blackmail you in future.
He will be scared of FIR as he is working professional
You need to file FIR. To cut finger right now or cut hand later, choice is to be made

March 15, 2025 at 5:30 pmCyber complaint or FIR is the only option. But may be easier to warn him or threaten him about sending a message to his workplace or his parents. Working professionals have higher stakes, itβs easier to control them that way -

March 16, 2025 at 8:05 amWell, in my professional opinion, gaand mardo. One complaint, even if online with the IT cell. If he lives abroad, mail it to the embassies. Send it to his HR. Send it to his manager. Let his friends know. Send it to his parents. To all distant relatives. You donβt start the war, but you definitely donβt let the person leave if they do.
