Last month, I received an offline challan for an expired pollution certificate, which is fair. However, when I returned home, I noticed that the fine they marked was for expired third-party insurance. I had all the necessary documents except the pollution certificate for my bike. They kept my RC (Registration Certificate) and issued me a challan form.
**My queries are:**
1. **Fine Amount for Two-Wheeler Without Third-Party Insurance Instead of Pollution Certificate:** Will the fine get canceled if I provide evidence that I already have valid third-party insurance?Or do I still need to pay the fine for the expired pollution certificate? If yes, what is the fine amount? (State: Punjab)
2. **Fine Payment Deadline:** The fine date written on my challan is February 5. Do I need to pay it on February 5, or do I have an extension of 1โ2 months to pay the fine? The fine was issued in a different city from my hometown.
