Hi, I’m a 24-year-old working professional based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, financially independent until recently.

A few months ago, I got into a relationship with someone who later turned out to have misrepresented his background and finances. I ended up transferring a significant amount of money to him over time. We got married, but during a police inquiry (triggered after I left my parental home), it came to light that he had allegedly deceived multiple people in a similar manner.

I have since:
