I’m planning to hit someone who earlier hit me as a revenge. How much jail time I’m looking at ? Also if only one or two bones are broken is it bailable? What would make the hit go under section 307 ?

The advice that you should have asked is how can you report someone for hitting you, by posting this here you are showing your immaturity

Wrong sub buddy.

There is no justification for such violence and if they complaint to cops and pursue the case the courts won’t understand your side since this is not self-defence. This is pre-meditated, planned violence. If they have a good lawyer they may be able to argue for attempt to murder against you. Which is a very very serve offense and will ruin the rest of your life in court cases and police complaints and jail time ruining all chances of going abroad and may impact domestic job chances too.
