February 22, 2025 at 1:24 amHi Everyone..its a bit urgentI need to immediately fly to dubai
This was the first time i applied for passport, it fot delivered within 3 days as it was tatkal passport but the police officer came to my home and rejected the application (may be because i didn’t offer bribe) and now he’s saying that he wants birth certificate, i have all the documents except that , even my school TC has place of birth and date mentioned
Can i travel with this passport? Or will there be any issues? Its really urgent for me to travel, flights are booked even i got the visa
Could you please suggest me, the reason he’s saying is
Police : “you were born in another state and now you’re living in another state, i need birth certificate”
I tried making birth certificate its taking very long time i need to travel immediately for some urgent work

February 22, 2025 at 4:06 amDo you have any other proof of residence. The police guy need to verify your birth certificate, its the job of passport office to verify this. The police guys job, is to find if there is any case pending against you. Are you going to be an absconder. Enquire in your neighbour hood, if you are doing any illegal trade. Are you part of any banned organisation.
And have you truly stayed in the address you have mentioned for passport for a considerable time. And most importantly, can the officer conclude that you are a legitimate citizen, because documents can be fabricated.

February 22, 2025 at 4:25 amIf you were born after 1989 then birth certificate is a mandatory document. Without this you wonβt get a passport also. However if you were born before 1989 then birth certificate is optional. Your high school leaving certificate or some other document can act as a proof of date and place of birth.-

February 22, 2025 at 5:46 amPolice can ask anything. Passport authorities issue passport with just PAN and Aadhar details but do remember none of those two documents confirm your citizenship. Both can be legally procured by foreigners as well.
