April 20, 2025 at 7:17 amBasically the title. I’m trying to remove 2 of my phone numbers from the postpaid family plan to convert it into individual postpaid plans before porting out from Vi to Jio but unable to do so even after raising request from past 2 days.I’ve raised a request 2 days ago and it has not been processed till now. I’m getting too many calls from their customer service team begging me not to port out of Vi but my reason for porting is simple: Poor internet service frequent call drops. I waited for 5G network for months and after realising that it is not happening anytime soon, I requested for conversion of postpaid family plan to individual postpaid plans but it has not been processed yet. I have already paid the previous month’s bill and there are no dues from my end.
The customer care is useless as it is asking me to send confirmation SMS multiple times and asking me to wait for 4hrs – 24 hrs from yesterday and their escalation team also proved to be a waste of time and energy.
I had a long argument with their escalation team when I simply asked them to send a written confirmation for my service request to be processed within 4 hrs and the person denied it stating it is all my fault for the delay due to raising multiple requests whereas I haven’t raised the requests more than twice due to their slowness in responding to such a small service request. Their customer service team is using cheap tricks to delay the process and if this is how they want to stop customers from porting out then it is really unfair since we the customers have all the rights to make choices.
Can anyone here please help me out what to do next? I’m feeling that this issue won’t be resolved anytime soon. I want to take this issue of irresponsible behaviour of Vi’s customer service via the legal route. Should I file a case in the consumer court and send a email to TRAI at daca[at]trai[dot]gov[dot]in?
Please suggest and thanks in advance
