        I visited my sbi branch as I needed a employee to atesset a form for my mutual funds policy kyc and nominee updation i was told by a employee that there is a charge of 200 rupees for attestation or i can sign a life insurance . So i called my dad to consult during this time the employee i was talking to handed over my form to the cashier and went for lunch. i told them to levy the atesstaion charge to which he gave me the form of pmjjby that was in hindi i asked him to give one in English to which he said dont you know Hindi i replied i do but im not comfortable and it will take me longer time to read so please provide me one in english to which he dint respond ans started telling me that this policy is mandatory for a account holder i said if its mandatory then why dont i have it already. He said u dint as u were a minor but now as u have attained majority u will have to and told me to sign the form quickly in a rude and loud tone i told him i will read the form first. After reading it i told him there is no mention that its a Mandatory policy again in a rude tone he explained (modi ji ne apne bhashan me kaha tha ki mandatory hai) and just made it very confusing i told him that i already have life insurance from lic to which he replied (toh lic se kara lo fir atesstaion ) some back and forth happened after that but in conclusion he told be its mandatory and i had to sign it.

        Well i got home searched about the policy. Its not mandatory but voluntary i couldn’t search it when i was in the bank as i had some network issues. Called sbi coustomer care they told me you can opt out by visiting the branch if they deny then u can file a complaint.

        I am going to opt out of it Tommorow

        What steps can i take against the employee

        From what I searched on the internet i should
        1.write a letter to branch manger,sbi zonal office and file a complaint with rbi banking ombudsman

          Yes you write an email tagging all those in detail. The matter will be dealt with iron hand

            Just raise a complaint on the SBI CRCF portal.

                The thing i am more concerned about it is what if they are doing this to senior and uneducated citizens

                    They at least activated the policy after you signed some form. In our case SBI activated these PM policies when we never even visited the branch or even received any call forget about signing any form. After raising the complaint they refunded the amount promptly.
