April 24, 2025 at 11:46 amI have been dating a girl and soon thought of getting married to her but in January she started ghosting me and ultimately blocked me from everywhere.
Mind you that we were in long relationship and had just gifted her a necklace and ring from my own hard earned money. Now that I’m trying to reach out to her via mutual friend I’ve been hearing that she said not to talk or get in touch or else she will file the legal case against me I don’t know under which sections neither I’m interested in doing anything outside the legal boundaries. I just need my things back that I had bought for her through hard earned money. -

April 24, 2025 at 1:12 pmLawyer Based in Delhi. If you have physical relations with her. She may file false rape case as a pretext of marriage and sexual offences. But if you have sufficient evidence regarding she has ghosted you and blocked you.. You can secure anticipatory bail and may file suit for false prosecution.

April 24, 2025 at 1:28 pmAsking for your thing to return back doesn’t mean harassment. There is specific provision as such defined under the IPC. However section 504&354D may be invoked.

April 24, 2025 at 1:34 pmNAL:Count your blessings & move on ASAP. Keep screenshots of your reaching out to her where she asked you to leave her alone. This will help you prove that the breakup was from her end. She won’t be able to claim that you left her.
Leaving these items is an excellent deal, she is a woman in India, she can sue you and your family to hell! Some samples:
1) Rape on pretext of marriage
2) Harassment & stalking
3) Violence & Threatening behaviourNone of them have to be true to make your life a living hell

April 24, 2025 at 5:04 pmUnless you are from a family with sufficient connections, there is nothing you can do to get your things back other than requesting her which seems unlikely to work and may even backfire on you.NAL but in regards to the cases, as a women of India she can file a number of fake cases, including but not limited to
1. Molestation
2. Rape/Attempted Rape
3. Harassment
4. Violence against a womanEither one of this will land you in jail where you will be at the mercy of our slow judicial system and cops looking to mint money.
Even without filing a case she can simply post on social media and you would be painted as the villan by the society.
My advise would be to count your blessing that you only lost money and carry on living wiser.

April 24, 2025 at 8:45 pmWrite an email to her stating that as she is ghosting you and you presume that she would like to move on, she should return the necklace and ring which you purchased on her behalf as per attached receipts.Wait for 2 weeks, after that, you wrote to her that if the noted items are not returned, you will be compelled to file a police complaint of cheating and criminal breach of trust.
After that you can take legal action by sending her a legal notice. I think she will return you the stuff once she receives a legal notice.

April 25, 2025 at 1:38 amLaw works differently in the courtroom. Everything is taken seriously based on evidence. Rape allegation will also have to be proven in the court.-

April 25, 2025 at 2:49 amYes you are right, but police will register FIR based on a woman statement and it will be upon you to prove you are not guilty which will take years. Your reputation will take a nosedive and you have lose money and time-

April 28, 2025 at 5:07 amAre you trying to tell me that a random woman can walk in to the police station and file a rape case against a random man and she will be able to get through with the FIR? There is always more connection to be proved than a long distance relationship. Secondly complainant has to submit evidence which the accused has to disprove. Merely a statement is not evidence.

April 25, 2025 at 1:57 amShe is a con and you got saved from her.Max you can do is talk to her parents and get the necklace / ring back. She will not do it directly as is scarring you.
Just walk over to her home when she is not around. Talk to the mom and tell her that since she has broken off, you will need the jewelry back.
But before that secure all chats/msgs/call logs, etc. Also record where she says she will file legal cases. If you do not meet her, ask your friends to record it for you.

April 25, 2025 at 7:58 amThanks for all the suggestions and advice guys! I don’t think I’ll be going ahead with even reaching out to her demanding my things back. I’m already under therapy with all that has happened and I can’t bother my parents and my self much. Hoping to cope with all of this but seems like the battle is difficult and road is long enough.
Peace and love to all ❤️❤️✨-
