Nothing should happen. Infact it’s good if you don’t have any NDA. You can work directly with your previous clients.

They may hold your last salary until you sign it.

And if i decide to let that salary go? Can i avoid signing the NDA?

Also I wanted to raise some complaints regarding our project, is it inappropriate to mention the client’s name etc in this mail which will be from my personal email ID (not official email ID as it is discontinued)?

Yes, if you let the salary go you don’t have to sign anything.

Please understand this: You are an adult, capable of making independent decisions. Never ever let anyone force you to do anything you don’t want. 

So let the last month’s salary go then tell the company to shove the NDA up its arse ( rhetorically speaking).
