February 22, 2025 at 7:45 pmThere is not enough context in your question⦠do you want to know about effect of having oral agreement in a court proceeding or just want to make sure the other person does not change his mind and back out of the deal later? Oral agreements are valid and enforceable in court if thats what you want to know, but the agreement will have to be proved by other means. Also, content of your call is not recorded by any department.

February 22, 2025 at 8:33 pmThe other person has already changed his mind.He is now saying he did not make any deal on the phone. The deal is a lease. The lease agreement was for 12 months but he moved out in 6th month without paying for the rest of the duration.-

February 23, 2025 at 11:00 amIt’s not a “crime”. Crime happens in criminal matters.Yours is a civil dispute. It’s a breach of contract, that too oral, as per your version. If you can’t spend money on taking legal advice or engaging a lawyer before you get into such transactions then don’t come crying when things go south.
You have utterly failed to protect your interests before entering into this lease. Let this be a lesson to you.
Remember shit like this happens in civil disputes, you are not the first one who has lost money due to not consulting a lawyer in such transactions.
At best you can do is to send a legal notice. If you try to do anything more, you will only be wasting your time and money.

February 23, 2025 at 7:14 amJust give out the property on rent / lease to a new tenant. Be happy he paid for the duration he used the property and move on. This is not worth legally pursing even if you had a written agreement.

February 23, 2025 at 6:20 amAlso, to answer your question, unless you have a court order “call department” will not entertain your request. Also, I don’t think all calls are recorded. It would require such huge infrastructure expense to record all calls for no reason.
