I’ve just graduated with my law degree and I’m feeling pretty stuck right now. Since i am a non-NLU graduate, and its been an year since i graduated, I’ve been trying to find a job at a corporate law firm, but so far, no luck. Most firms either aren’t hiring freshers or require minimum 2-4 PQE.
Now I’m torn between two options:
Preparing for the judiciary exams (PCS J) or
Starting with advocacy – maybe join a senior in the lower courts or High Court and learn the ropes practically at low wages.
I genuinely enjoy law, but I’m struggling to figure out the best path forward, especially when I’m not even sure what suits me more in the long run.
Anyone here who’s been in a similar position or has insight into how to navigate this phase? Would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, or even any resources you found helpful in making this decision.
Thanks in advance!
