Lawyers fee depends on 1.your urgency 2.value at the stake. They will start quoting based on this. You should consult a good lawyer and research yourself in parallel.

Is it a regular CBI court or HC/SC?

Unless you’re a big fish, few thousands to Lakh seems reasonable fee for most of the lawyers up to HC or SC. You can hire TOP lawyer for 8-9 per hearing.

CBI doesn’t have separate law, they work under same IPC/CrPC. I think you need a good HC lawyer, who might charge up to 1L per hearing.

Honestly, I have no faith in Indian judiciary or political or executive. They all the corrupt and incompetent and working for rich and powerful. If you’re a powerful person, twist their arm and get out of the jail in few months.

Lawyer here based in Delhi. It depends upon a variety of factors. A higher fee does not necessarily mean that you’re getting a good advocate though. But you’d be able to rope in a decent attorney for anywhere between 3L to 7L.

More or less yeah. But it would be towards the higher end of the range which I had already mentioned, due to travel expenses which would be incurred.
