May 8, 2026 at 7:24 amHi everyone,I worked at a company between 2018–2020, and I recently checked my PF records properly and found that although PF was deducted from my salary, the company did not deposit it for around 10–11 months.
Apart from that, my last month’s F&F settlement was also never cleared. In Feb 2020 they communicated over email that it would be paid in installments, but after that they stopped responding despite multiple follow-ups from my side till around 2023–24.
The amount may not be huge, but this was my first company and it genuinely feels bad because it was my blood, sweat, and tears during the early stage of my career.
I don’t immediately want to go into a very aggressive legal battle, but I do want to know:
* What practical steps can I take first?
* Can PF authorities help in such cases?
* What evidence/documents should I collect?
* Has anyone dealt with something similar successfully?I still have:
* Offer/experience documents
* Salary slips
* Email communication regarding F&F
* PF account details showing missing depositsWould really appreciate genuine advice from people who’ve handled similar situations.
Thanks.

May 8, 2026 at 8:36 amLawyer here. You may first consider sending a legal notice to the company seeking clearance of the unpaid PF contributions and pending F&F dues, since the earlier emails acknowledging installment payments can support your claim. In relation to the PF deductions, the EPFO can definitely assist, as non-deposit of deducted PF amounts is a serious statutory violation. You can file an online grievance through the EPFO grievance portal or approach the regional PF office with supporting documents. Delay may be raised by the company regarding the F&F dues, but the continuous follow-ups and written acknowledgments from their side may help explain and counter that aspect.
