March 4, 2025 at 7:44 amI’m currently in 12th. My parents were divorced long ago, idk my father was very clumsy while registering my birth certificate. My mother’s name is printed as “Anishta” while her name is Annette, also non of their surnames are printed. My father was contacted to change it since I don’t live where I was born anymore, well he didn’t. The school I passed 10th in couldn’t do anything so the same faulty names are printed, 12th they refer to 10th marksheets and now for cuet forms and all I’m supposed to give in exact data from my marksheets. So I’m kinda stuck here and don’t know what to do. -

March 4, 2025 at 7:49 amYou dont need the correct mothers name anywhere in life. Even if you are asked to enter, you dont have to show proof.Maybe in a rare case your mother is a resident of another country and she needs to sponsor your visa

March 5, 2025 at 5:24 amNot advisable. As for purpose of inheritance from the mother, one needs to show proof of relationship. Incorrect name would create a major problem here.
