AHe is already a citizen of another country. Since India does not recognise dual citizenship, he can’t just apply for passport. There should be some process where he will have to renounce his Sri Lankan citizenship and get the Indian citizenship. He wants to understand that process.AI am not a lawyer.
The total amount in question seems to be something like Rs. 8500 (or its equivalent in Pounds). Is it really worth doing this? Would she get any money at the end of it (after lawyer fees etc.?)
My wife is a lawyer. She charges Rs 5000 – Rs 10,000 for a legal notice. Isn’t this amount too low unless you can do something in the consumer forum.

AExactly what is your argument here?Is it: “Milord, I did not know the price of my land, I thought it was 20 lakhs but after selling it at that price, I now realize that it was actually 40 lakhs, so please force the buyer to give it back to me”?

In may areas, homes you bought for 1.5 lacs back in 1990 are now worth 1.5 crores easily.
AIf you have Indian ancestry you may be eligible for Overseas Citizenship of India. (This is not an actual citizenship but a lifetime visa.)
