Do whatever you think you should legally, but at least make your parents understand this is not something worth taking this level (collapsing!!?!) of stress for. Who cares if the curtains were expensive, you should care more about their health. Hell buy them new fucking curtains! but stop making this an issue where their health is being affected. Rest is up to you on what’s your priority.
