February 8, 2025 at 8:26 pmNo. For that you need to have earned more than 12 (theoretically 12.75) lakhs in a full ‘financial year’ to have to get to pay tax. Also, this question would’ve been better suited for a different sub dealing with taxation.

January 27, 2025 at 7:24 pmSo? Receiving a notification of transaction is not considered consent given in a court of law. Plus OP had clearly mentioned that these transactions were done not so far apart from each other with the first one itself being more than 90 % of the contested amount. Are you hard of brain cells or something?January 27, 2025 at 5:46 pm in reply to: Title: My friend (24F) spent 1lakh on my credit card and is now unreachable. January 27, 2025 at 5:46 pmCredit Card transactions on POS don’t need an OTP, they need a PIN Code.January 27, 2025 at 11:08 am in reply to: Title: My friend (24F) spent 1lakh on my credit card and is now unreachable. I’m unemployed and need help getting my money back. #65400BBraveknight8864

January 27, 2025 at 11:08 amSimply call your bank and immediately tell them that these are all unauthorised transactions and that somebody misused your credit card without your consent. You might need to go as far as report it stolen if you want to have weight in your case, and also, to prevent further misuse. And needless to say, if you turn around and say things like, “I don’t want my friend to get into trouble..” etc., and what not, then you’re better off accepting that you’ve lost that money.
The law can only get you back what was stolen from you. If it is found that you had your consent in any shape way or form, that’ll end up being on you.
Without going into technicalities, It’s not gonna be a fun ride to win a case on the merit of, “I did allow her to use it, but not this much”..
