You’re right. I do have a well-paid job that’s more than enough for both of us, but jumping into marriage right now just feels off. It’s not that I’m against it—it’s just not the right solution for the situation at hand. Maybe we could consider it as a last resort, but ideally, we’d prefer something else that makes more sense legally and emotionally. She’s also really talented and earns her own pocket money through Instagram and some other influencing work, so it’s not like she’s entirely dependent either.
