Oh buddy! You’re in for a treat. I had gotten my Tatkal reissue passport within 5 days and I flew out the next day. 10 days into my trip, my family sent me a photo of a letter from the Passport Control Department stating I have failed at the Police verification. Somehow, nobody bothered to even call me or drop by my house for verification. P.S. my phone was on roaming while I was travelling and there was my family staying at my place too.

It’s been over 6 months now and tho I travel to my city every week, I’ve been unable to make it to the walk in appointments to have the Show cause notice cleared. I can only recommend you to keep following up with the local PS.

Although I have not faced an issue flying in and out of the country, my team who handled the Tatkal mentioned, I’ll have to get it rectified at the earliest to avoid another Show cause letter. 2 or 3 show cause letter could cause a problem when you try to fly out or fly back in after.
