You might want to talk to your dad first. Calmly. Trying to understand if anything is wrong.

It’s better you involve a trustworthy relative like some uncle or aunt to get some help. They can talk to your father and help understand the situation.

If there’s violence involved on a regular basis, you can approach to nearest police station who can help you get things sorted without rushing to court.

Ultimately if nothing works out, upon discretion of your mother you can think of approaching a lawyer.

You sure this isn’t some kind of trap? Also, schizophrenia might not be induced due to bad event but bad event can be induced due to schizophrenia. Beware.
