BWas that an NDPS case for drugs? My cousin was smoking weed last year during election time and was caught by police and an FIR was filed. Same scenario like you, he was in Jail for a few days, bail hua and now he’s carrying on with his normal student life.
Chargesheet not yet filed and there’s nothing he can do yet.
I was told by the police to get a good lawyer and try getting the case closed with a verdict as ‘not-guilty’.
The lawyer has told us to wait until the chargesheet is filed but I don’t think the police will even bother filing it for such a minor issue. Consult with a lawyer and get his opinion.BYes you’re right. Practically speaking, fighting a case with politicians involved is like putting your face in a can of worms.
Be nice to the politician, haggle a bit, try for 15-20% lower and sell it asap.

Another reason could be a scammer’s money got transferred to your account and the victim who got scammed reported it to cyber police.
