      All that is meaningless with regards to a bond. Bonds are illegal regardless of what the docs may say.

        I think no need for a lawyer. Itโ€™s simple, if the deceased had assets that got passed down then it needs to be paid from them. If no assets then tell the agents to piss off or youโ€™ll file an RBI ombudsman complaint. If they still persist then file an RBI ombudsman complaint and you can even ask for compensation for mental anguish. Regardless of the circumstances, nobody can harass you for anything by law.

          My point is, there is a whole escalation matrix that designed specifically for this and is very effective. Threatening with lawyers, etc at one time was needed but now is just a waste of time and peace of mind.

            No need for lawyers, the RBI has very goods escalation matrices established for banks.

              Please first go through the whole escalation matrix, ie. usually general customer service / branch manager -> nodal officer -> only then go to ombudsman.

              This is the correct and required flow. Ombudsman is only for when the lower entities donโ€™t provide a resolution or response and ombudsman will ask for a proof of complaint to them.
