March 27, 2025 at 9:27 amMany have said legality vs morality.Just to be clear, they’re referring to the laws of the land.
It doesn’t matter that the laws of the land are far less worth than the garbage abundantly found on Indian streets (though that situation is improving because of better garbage collection and not better civic sense).
They aren’t saying that it’s right that the adulterer deserves alimony. They’re just saying that as long as the adulterer is a woman, she will get alimony and benefits and that their men, especially soft and noble men, have been fornicated the wrong way and in the wrong end.

January 25, 2025 at 5:13 pmGoing by what I’ve been seeing of Indian men’s situations vis-a-vis divorce laws, your cousin brother is not going to be able to get out of this unscathed or even fairly. The women in India who are torturing their spouses thus have no idea of karma and the concept of sin. And those women who are truly suffering at the hands of men are not helped one bit by these laws.
And out of court settlement may be the only realistic avenue to let go completely.
Make no mistake, that woman and her future will be destroyed at her own hands. Your brother should move on and restart with all the vigor he can muster. Nothing is eternal, even pain.
