Yes. Very frustrating to deal with such thugs. We have enquired around and he has been doing such things with neighbouring lands as well for a long time now.

We are currently not in a hurry to sell. Have engaged a lawyer as well and have sent an injunction against them.

Currently, it is on my fathers name(after the papers were lost, the mother transferred the property to my father as a gift)

Tax receipts are in my father’s name. All the documents are in my fathers name including the Khatha.

No its impossible for him to have a money trail unless he forged it.

The gift deed was carried out in 2017. 
Mr. X claims my mother gave the sale deed and took money but the registration to be done on a later stage(which is a lie). 

We have file a suit for injunction against Mr X and awaiting his response. 

My worry is – is there any grounds on which he can claim the land considering he has the original sale deed.
