      NAL. First things first – take a lawyer. Having said that, associating IP with you is not simple unless they’ve taken a couple of steps.

      1. IP addresses are dynamic and each individual does NOT get a unique IP. It’s a shared IP with one public address and internally thousands of users will be mapped to that public end point. Jio WiFi and all others use NAT to achieve this. Same is also extensively used by network providers else you will run out of IP addresses.
      2. Because of this, public IP information even if obtained is practically useless.
      3. Meta cannot and will not share any IP information or device Mac without a court order. Police can only get public IP and dynamic Mac
      4. Jio cannot and will not share above without the same. Police will have to verify devices with that Mac at that point in time accessing the IG domain. They’ve no idea which account you accessed or what you did unless it’s in the URL because comms are in HTTPS.

      I highly doubt these steps have been followed.
