So basically you took the leave anyways even if u werent the one who exactly forged the signature. That still makes u party to a crime since u knew someone did it and still enjoyed the events of the crime committed. They r giving u a pretty good deal here with just writing an apology letter.

Ur deposit is 60k. Rent is 20k. Just don’t pay rent for 2 months. Tell her u won’t pay and to deduct from deposit. Don’t ask her. If she has an issue. Say not ur problem. What is she gonna do? Threaten to kick u out? Even if she raised a case against u in court, it’s gonna drag out by which time u would have left.

My gf’s colleague pulled this stunt at his company. Got caught easily and penalised and booted. The dude even made fake bills for some of his friends at work. The rest of them got penalised and had some benefits revoked.

Best thing he can do, resign before it goes on record. They may still penalised him. But if he is lucky, the experience letter might not have any negative comment.

They won’t withhold experience letter depending on how long he has served there. For instance, if he pulled it before his probation even ended, no letter. Straight firing as in the case I mentioned above.

But if he cleared probation, there is a chance he will get it. Can’t comment on this part. I have only seen the case where the person pulled this off during his probation. He didn’t receive experience letter. They blacklisted him from their firms and refused recommendation letter. He could ask for an experience letter. But high chances they will specify reason for being sacked somewhere in the documents they will provide.

Again. If she isn’t financially independent yet, would suggest not to do it now and hang on till she is. Else it will backfire.

If it’s india, more than legal action, spreading the news to everyone, especially neighbours and mutual family friends and relatives and people they know works better. Would say wait till ur friend can become independent and then do this. Collect evidence too so that the parents can’t refute it later. Funny thing about Indians is they care more about how society perceives them than the law.

NAL. But if the attack happened outside college grounds, it ain’t their problem. Moreover, them involving themselves in ur issue will lead to them having problems. U should have gone to the cops in the first instance itself.
