Thank you for your advice. I was wondering if there’s any way I can substantiate the genuine reason behind my decision to cancel the cheque, so that I have supporting evidence should the seller attempt to pursue legal action against me.

Thanks, but the thing is i don’t want the risk of getting into legal trouble over 40k, since i am a working individual and it could negatively affect my background checks
