You do realise that the public embarrassment and time could have been saved by just showing the ticket? It was most likely a mistake on the part of the staff, but it didn’t need to escalate. It would have taken all of 30 seconds. I’m sure your discussions wasted more of your time, and drew the unwanted public attention.
