This is the wrong sub, legally you have every right to travel where you want as an adult, but laws are just a suggestion in India. You mentioned that your family has an MLA, meaning they can do absolutely whatever they want.

Going to another state will limit your family’s influence, if you have the logistic planning to pull it off then it might be a safer way for you. I wish you the best of luck.
