NAL but your father might be lying to you. He might have some personal expenses that he wants to hide from the family.

      Here is why

      1)
      >but my father told me that there’s a clause that, we have to pay back twice the amount that we have received

The clause in itself looks weird.

2)50 note bundles look much smaller than 100 note bundles. It is not an easy miss. It would have more sense if some notes were 50 and some were 100 note bundles

      3) He is giving it up too easily

Is your father the kind of person that would fall to such a simple scam ? Does he have such history ? 23 lakhs is a big amount.

First thing, people like you are inspiration. You took what was an extremely tough situation at 15 years old like a man. You stood up for your family and supported them and even married off your sister.

He is just threatening you for easy money. he does not have the guts or the effort it takes to file a court case and won’t stand a chance in court. Inform him that you probably actually have an opportunity to counter sue him as he left two minor kids without any support and with a lot of debt. You sister deserves a slap for bringing that loser back into your life. Hope you told her that he is blackmailing you.

If her mother herself is in an affair, there is no point in shaming her. The only other option is to see if you can leverage exposing her lover to his family and get the DV case withdrawn, divorce competed in favorable terms.

            > This is what her sister told me.

            Yeah, don’t believe the blindly.

There might be some other person in the picture. Like an ex. Atleast try to find the root cause so that you can argue on a level field. Her father might be aware of her past.

Right now, they are trying to pin the blame on you.

              >Then one day she informed she will go for a night stay to her friends place. I asked about the friend and address repeatedly, but she never told. I told ok, we both will go. She told she didnโ€™t like it and started cursing. I got frustrated and told her to leave the house. She told I was waiting for this and left.

This definitely sounds like she was planning to meet someone. Did she actually leave to her home that day ?
