It sounds like he was trying to slowly groom you by offering things that seemed generous but came with unspoken expectations. The good thing is, you didn’t get fully pulled in by that.
Since the money was given to you voluntarily, he doesn’t have any legal hold over you. So the best thing you can do now is ignore him and move on. Just stay cautious in the future and trust your gut early , set clear boundaries when something feels off.

HThe high court has granted a stay against the FIR, that’s what I was told by my lawyer. Secondly my ex has gone through the similar procedure with his first ex wife in the past so I am assuming he’s well aware of the protocols being followed during the DV case so there’s that. I have enough evidences against him and his mother so I know where I stand in this case.HSimple case hai. I would be wanting to get even too 👹👹HWell I could’ve suggested you to hire a Private investigator but since you said you are in a financial crunch so there’s that. The lawyers will ask you to file a 498A straight up they can’t do much otherwise without it. First off you should get mahila aayog or some women empowering NGO involved. Women under a certain income bracket can also get help legally which is minimal to nil cost. There are counsellors etc provided too But you will have to get out of this situation. You and your son will be better off without the douchebag!
If he lashes out next time , record it and gather proof as much as you can please. It will immensely help you out during the trial.
