Talk to a lawyer. The paperwork and testimony you offer will need to be very specific. And done in a timely manner. This is not something you can DIY. Get a personal law advocate who specializes in divorce. I’m assuming your marriage was either under SMA or under Hindu law and the way you navigate annulment will vary based on the precedents for those.

Yeah you need a lawyer and you need to look into dissolving the marriage. That’s how this works. You *might* have grounds to seek an annulment but india tends to be very restrictive about those. More likely you’re looking at a divorce unless you can somehow show the marriage was void to begin with.

Seriously who TF gets married without spending atleast some time getting to know a person? Stop letting other people make decisions for you, yeesh

The problem will be demonstrating a case is false or fake. A case might fail to achieve a conviction for any number of reasons, not limited to police and prosecution incompetence. How do we separate those from the ones maliciously made. Empower the police to investigate victims every time a case fails? That’s just rewarding the cops for their own incompetence. Do we just assume every case is false? Its hard enough for people to file cases already. Encouraging the cops to treat a victim as a liar is just giving them more weapons to do nothing.

If they are demanding it is, then it is absolutely dowry. Do you really want to marry into a family that is comfortable with seeing you as nothing more than a source of money? Why is your fiance being a gold digger? If he wants a lavish, elaborate wedding, he should contribute to it.

First off lol. That’s not remotely true. Second it’s also totally irrelevant to the discussion at hand

No it doesn’t. You are asking OP to file a knowingly false case. This is not in OPs legal interest and you need to stop peddling misinformation. I hope the moderators will take action here.

That isn’t how this works. Nothing in OPs post indicates that an illegal gender determination was made let alone that the doctor who performed the abortion did it. OP has no basis to know this information. Filing false FIRs to try and influence a divorce is a good way to get yourself locked up *and* lose your case.

                      >Btw it’s illegal to do abortion of unmarried women

This is wrong as of 2022. The SC has already held that all women are entitled to abortion access. Moreover it isn’t clear to me on what basis OP would be entitled to his wife’s medical records. There are HC rulings that, AFAIK, have not been overturned, which prohibit husbands from drawing on private medical records to try and sway a divorce on questions such as infidelity.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me. A foreign marriage gets registered under the FMA.

I’m always confused by posts like these. What legal advice do you even want? Stop signing loans for your parents and tell them to pay their debts off. You’re on the hook for things you’ve already agreed to finance. Stop financing more.
