Also, There is no lawyer, I have filed it in-person.
KUnfortunately there is no option left other than an offline complaint.1. Even if it accept e-jagriti documents and everything, you have to send all the documents physical copies in person and bear the cost of post to the opponent office.
2. You have to go to the court to fight your case.
K1. I’m not from a legal background so I really don’t have an idea about all you asked.2. From what I know (learnt during the process), you need to file a case within 2 years of the date of incident (on which you realize you got scammed). Like purchased a laptop and it was broken etc.
However, there should be some procedure if you want to file after 2 years. I have no idea.3. Yes you can hire a lawyer who will do everything for you. You need not to visit the court at all (as far as I know).
4. Yes the court orders the company to pay the litigation cost, if you win.
KBecause if you just Google that company’s name on the consumer case forum on the date of hearing or later in the case, it will show up the documents having my address and number.Like Mr Original4444 vs Reddit Pvt Ltd
KThat’s true actually.Because,
1. The company didn’t even bother to respond to two reminders sent via NCH.
2. Didn’t respond to the legal notice sent by me through a registered post and in electronic form on their mail.
3. I got a similar case from 2013 where almost the same situation, the company first reply was, that the complaint is baseless.
Even though the verdict was to replace the product, 2.5k litigation cost and 5k compensation.12 years later. My product cost is high too and I’m demanding a higher compensation.
KYeah. Because when I was tying all the copies together I saw advocates in lines, crowded, doing the same thing. Obviously they are charging for their knowledge and all these miscellaneous things.KLet’s see. I already came back from two appointments.This time that guy agreed and said bring any two documents with the correct father’s name, same in both.
Otherwise, he has no problem going with what’s in the 10th marksheet. But that’s wrong!
KWhat is more frustrating is, many years back, when I received my 10th marksheet in physical form, I objected to two mistakes, “Manaj Prasad Sharma”1. Correct spelling of the name Manoj
2. Replace Prasad = Kumar
Upon requesting, they opened some OLD DOCUMENT saying, if these mistakes are there in that, then we cannot do anything, because that’s what is submitted by you only, when opened, it was as correct as it should be. Clearly your typist made a major mistake.
They sent it to the regional office, and some 4-5 months later received with only name spelling correction and not prasad replaced by kumar.
Their negligence, and I’m paying for it almost 15-16 years later.
