The reason for Alimony is not just lack of support, it’s the lack of cumulative job experience due to years of homemaking making the unemployed party continue to be unemployable in their chosen sector.

Because everything else works the same for men and women. Future employability is a nebulous thing to judge such cases by because both men and women have the same opportunities in the future according to the measures mentioned here.
