April 12, 2025 at 9:19 amIn most cases, yes. They only freeze the disputed amount. But in some cases, they put the entire Debit freeze. It’s totally upto authorities.MMegashashi9924

April 11, 2025 at 5:59 pmSince the money has already been credited in your account, there is nothing you can do on your part. If anyone complains, and the scammer’s account gets scrutinized, and they get your account in trails, then mostly they freeze the amount only. Very rarely they put the complete debit freeze. So, the best you can do is to move your money into another account, and route further payments to another account too, for next 5-6 months. If nothing happens by that time, then most probably will not happen any further too.MMegashashi9924

March 31, 2025 at 5:55 pmFiling a cyber complaint will certainly help. As soon as you file the complaint, they will start tracking the accounts you mentioned in the complaint and will also track the accounts into which the money was transferred from the scammer’s account. And in whatever account they get to see the money, they will hold it up and will update the same on the portal. After that, you can go to your nearby Cyber Crime Police Station or whatever station allotted by them for your case as per the portal. Take updates from them, and then, hire a lawyer, go to the court, and get the order passed for the amount blocked into the scammer’s account as fast as possible. As multiple people’s money could be held in that account, so whoever gets the order passed first will get the money. After getting the order, go to the bank mentioned in the order, and ask them to transfer the money into your account. I have helped 2 of my friends filing the case, one of them prompty took the further action, and got the money return within 2 months, but another friend didn’t bothered much, he thought that police should do all the work, therefore his amount which was blocked in the scammers account could not be retrieved.MMegashashi9924

March 11, 2025 at 9:32 amI had recently saw a reel where a guy told to SMS something to a number, and also include your email ID in that SMS, then you will receive your call details on that email. And, in the comments, several users agreed that this trick is working in Airtel. So, maybe, she used your phone in your absence, and did that.MMegashashi9924

March 2, 2025 at 11:22 amRaise a complaint on consumerhelpline dot gov dot in. Most probably it will be resolved there. If not, then move to Consumer court. -
