Since you had the leave and license agreement in place, the best approach would be to get legal help here, which would be to send the legal notice to vacate the premises according to the agreement. In case, they don’t, you can take up the matter with the civil court.

Innocent? POCSO case hai Behan. And the intimate moments were recorded! So innocent toh nahi hai. The best approach would be to sort it out outside the court.

So we can continue with the same tenant without any threat to ownership? Does a tenant have any additional rights if they continue to rent a space after a set amount of time?

Yes, we collect rent. So if we continue with the same tenant what legal rights do they have, apart from what’s mentioned in the legal agreement?
