Even if the guy calling you is genuinely a police officer, he will be threatening you in an unofficial capacity. Tell him you will not speak unless they send you an official notice, and whatever response will be given will be by your lawyer (bluff, no need to get one unless they actually send a notice)

Highly likely the guy asked his friend to give you a scare and extort you. Don’t entertain.
