May 7, 2025 at 7:31 amWhy wont he? AFAIK if the landlord files a suit, OP will have to come back to Kota to attend the hearings. Further, landlord can ask for compensation as well as make OP pay the legal fees of landlord’s lawyer as well. Not a lawyerApril 14, 2025 at 10:39 am in reply to: Just found out our tenant, who is not paying rent since 3 months,is a gangster accused of attempt to murder, and is out on Parole #15631PPrateekhawk769

April 14, 2025 at 10:39 am1. Go to the police. Maybe bribe them as well(otherwise they wont do anything). And evict them. And dont be scared. These goons take advantage of people being scared.
2. Go to any akhada/gym. Give them some money and tell them you want to evict so And so.
3. Whenever the tenants are not home, Go with few people and empty the apartment. Burn their belongings. Keep their valuables at another place(preferably not your own).
I know none of these are per se legal, but honestly these are the most efficient and quickest way to get your property back. Whatever happens, don’t be scared.PPrateekhawk769

April 13, 2025 at 3:47 pmI think the argument is ethical. Just because the agreement is ending, doesn’t mean youd screw the landlord of his rent.
Do unto others, what you would want to be done unto you. You would not want the landlord to come suddenly on 1st May and tell you to vacate just because the agreement is ending. -
