February 22, 2025 at 3:46 amWhy the heck would anyone not write and email and resign?Even now, simply write and email quoting the verbal discussion on Feb 1 with who so ever you had of your intent to quit. Request them to treat that day as your resignation date and relieve you on 2nd March (30 days period).
Put every little detail on record over an email and be polite and accommodating about trying to complete all your tasks by 28th Feb and handing over by 2nd March which would be your last working day.
PUT EVERYTHING ON RECORD.

February 19, 2025 at 7:46 amRecord whatever they say against your family (especially females of your family). Then just a week or so before leaving the society, file fir (u/s 354) against all the men (individually) who misbehaved with your mom.
To make the revenge sweeter, do this on a Friday evening, they’d all be arrested on sat morning and would be able to secure bail only on Monday morning. If you contest the bail, they won’t get that either.

February 6, 2025 at 8:45 amYou can gently ask the HR to rethink about deduction and cite that Gratuity as per your info is exclusive of Salary as per law.February 6, 2025 at 8:42 am in reply to: Is this legal? (Gratuity being deducted from in hand) #59087PPronimesh3885

February 6, 2025 at 8:41 amRESULTS FROM GEMINI on doing a google search. No, gratuity cannot be deducted from an employee’s salary in India;Β it is a lump sum amount paid by the employer to the employee upon retirement or completion of a certain service period, and is not part of the regular monthly salary, as per the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.Β
Key points about gratuity in India:
Not deducted from salary:
Gratuity is not a deduction from your monthly salary, but rather a benefit paid out when you leave the company under eligible circumstances like retirement or resignation after completing at least five years of service.Β
Calculated separately:
The gratuity amount is calculated based on your basic salary and years of service, and is paid as a lump sum when you leave.Β
Legal requirement:
The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 governs the rules around gratuity payments in India

February 6, 2025 at 8:40 amWhy would they deduct gratuity from salary? That is not even allowed legally I reckon. A simple google search tell you that it’s now allowed. What’s the point of gratuity if I myself have to pay for it. As it is an employee qualifies for it post completion of 5 years of service and the employer has to pay in case of retirement or resignation only from the companies coffers. It’s always provided for in accounts.
Simply tell the HR that you won’t accept deductions as gratuity from your salary.
