Exactly. If this kind of law wasn’t in place, it would be misused. Like many current laws are.

No. And it doesn’t even make sense. Unless you can prove that your life was in danger, then intentional use of any form of lethal force is attempted murder. Carry a pepper spray instead. Non-lethal and effective.
