Exactly. OP is officer and yet he had to face humiliation cuz of his caste. Can’t imagine what people belonging to lower income group face daily.

And before anyone objects this I want to make it clear that I do not belong to SC/ST. You don’t have to belong to a particular group to understand their plight.

It’s common knowledge that if son and daughter-in-law are unable to take care of parents or harrass them then the property can be transferred back to parents. This decision was taken by high court in a case. Many parents have become aware of this even in rural areas.
