SWhy are there so many people replying who don’t know the law at all? Alimony is granted when it’s proven in court via proper documents that the spouse is incapable of maintaining their livelihood if the divorce happens and that the divorce is happening because that other richer spouse is the reason of the said divorce. If the other party has a source of income they will not get alimony. It’s not who has more or earns more it’s if the other party will be able to eat and live once marriage is dissolved. Also a good lawyer is mandatory as many lawyers drag the cases and take money from opposite party to not settle favourably. And of course whoever gets the kids, if any, gets child maintenance when the other party has considerable income/wealth.SPosco for the guy.

SAsk your mom to file a proper police case citing the other lady doing illegal work and harassing you and threatening to finish your career by giving false cases. Police and everyone else in the universe can’t give less of a shit to neighbours fighting. So they will take the GD and sit on it. But you’ll have first mover advantage and anything they say later will be held as a counter case to your case.

How did they get a place to live in?
She never produced any documents or IDs or she forged all of those?
Does she work or study or just a homemaker live in situation? There are so many questions. The age gap mentioned is also not one or two but almost 8 years!! You can literally tell if a woman is 37 and not 26 just by looking!They were living in and the guy never checked anything? Like facebook posts of birthdays, year of graduation, classmates etc? Is that believable in today’s age and time? I mean will anyone believe this even normally let alone legally? You get a girl and flying in the clouds having a physical relationship for idk how long and then even moving in too… but don’t know any of her family or friends or anything? C’mon that’s just not possible. There must be some other thing going on. Or she is a con artist in which case he needs to do some mutual understanding out of court- because he ain’t winning this one legally.
SIt’s not illegal. You can marry whomever you want and live with them, just not get the certificate from government. More problematic is the society you’d be living in which will not change in another 100 years – so worry about that more. I don’t even know why you’d want to legalize a gay marriage given most don’t legalize (as in get a certificate) for straight marriages unless they want a passport or something. You can work your way out of most things without a marriage certificate.SPoor parents need to accumulate whatever they have left, find a good old age home and live the rest of their lives in peace. It looks like their entire lives were hijacked by this woman and her constant issues, because this can’t be just starting out now. Let her do whatever she can with her husband and leave it to her fate. I know this sounds harsh, but there’s no other way out of it. Anyway she is going to inherit whatever they leave behind, and in their 80s any day they can have some health issues and then what?
Be wise, at least spend the last years with some semblance of mental peace. And no, the law is no t going to help.
