Thats why the law exist. If you send a mail to HR saying I wish to go for maternity leave from this date to this date

They can’t fire you by giving any reason

Its illegal not to give government mandated maternity leave. She should definitely not take unpaid leave, irrespective of the funding.

If company makes a profit, will they give her a share in that
