      >If he has a good lawyer, you will get vacated soon, you don’t have good defence.

Not in West Bengal. There’s a thing called rent control act which allows a tenant to sit on a property indefinitely with base minimum rent. The legal process to remove them can take decades or more, because the law prevents the landlord from going to the court. There’s a rent control body that reviews the case and they can easily be bribed. When the case is going on, the tenant can’t be removed, services can’t be stopped, repairs must be done, and rent gets deposited to the board which is difficult to retrieve.

Thousands of properties in Kolkata and West Bengal have been taken over by tenants. Landlords are quite scared to remove tenants. Especially the ones who have stayed for decades.

        https://www.businesstoday.in/personal-finance/news/story/customs-rules-in-india-how-much-gold-cash-are-you-allowed-to-carry-on-domestic-foreign-flights-467009-2025-03-06

First figure out where you can sell that gold and what rate they will pay you.

Your assumption is that you’ll be able to sell that gold at market rates. But they might not give those rates to you.

For example – no legal channel in India will buy dollars at exchange rates. Not for small amounts. They will give you 2-3% less.

Then do the maths. You can certainly make profits by bringing gold up to 20g per trip.

You can get your call details by dropping a sms from your phone to Airtel or by using the airtel thanks app. No agent is required.

If she has access to your phone then either she could’ve gone by the sms route or logged in to Airtel thanks from her phone. A few otps are all that’s needed to get call details.

No agent can pull call details on their own.

The question is – does she have access to your phone? If she does, then she can get everything she needs. And even if you revoke access now, apps like airtel thanks don’t get logged out automatically.

Actually the story makes sense. Inbound flights from Nepal would go through immigration. Now if she was a Nepali citizen, and presented Nepali passport, she would’ve walked out from there without a hitch. But she presented an Indian passport. Nepalis come to India for work but I’m not sure if they actually apply for Indian citizenship in large numbers given the process isn’t easy and requires people to surrender their Nepali citizenship and lose access to properties and rights in their native land.

Now what’s interesting and the part OP had conveniently excluded is that if the lady didn’t know that her father had applied for Nepali citizenship then why was there Nepali documents on her phone? We only scan active documents in our phones.

Maybe they were not aware that it’s a crime. Wonder why the Nepali embassy didn’t inform her, or ask for some documentation from Indian embassy (other countries do). During this process, the Indian embassy clearly calls out the process to surrender the Indian citizenship and passport before handing the documents required to apply for citizenship of the other country. That checkpoint is always there. Unless Nepali embassy is a bunch of idiots and provided citizenship without documents I’m guessing the documentation on the other side was a complete fraud.

Are those people holding two passports and a bunch of documents making them citizens of two countries one of which is India?

Do not try to board the flight. The passports are digitally scanned by the immigration officers where any open incident immediately alerts the CISF. Book a visit to RPO and discuss with them the requirements.

I think we youngsters know the jurisdiction our court enjoys better than anyone else. Vijay Mallya is a prime example of the supreme power of our jurisdiction. He’s literally living life king size.
