If i file e-fir, police will persue will pursue investigation with my physical presence in india or can i somehow use my in laws, they are helpful

Thanks to all concern and advices by you all, for now it seems like LR or EFIR to avoid misuse of the documents and will re request copies of all documents from their issuing authority.
