You’ve seen what happens out there, the civic sense of people and how much they respect anyone else (or their property).
This is very common and expected unless you packed your desktop properly for courier in boxes, packaging bubbles, anti static bags, etc. When you’re not seeing these guys are slamming and throwing packages around.

I went through something similar and usuay in their T&C they’re pretty much covered or limit their liability unless you follow procedures to the letter with proper packaging, disclosing the contents and value, getting the adequate shipping method and/or insurance.
