Tell him to lawyer up asap, let the lawyer accompany the family to the police station and be present in the questioning. If an FIR is lodged ur friend being an NRI maynot be able to leave India till the matter is dismissed or worst he can be arrested on arrival as this is a criminal offence. By the way 498 a will be a different section now under BNS as IPC is repealed.

A debt is a debt u have to pay it back on time and ideally it should be documented when taken especially the repayment terms like by when and what interest. This can be done by email or whatsapp also. Because u failed to pay on time your “friend” got suspicious and she is also feeling the heat of recovering the money now. You do have legal recourse file a case of harassment against her. This will certainly put an end to the friendship but might get you some breathing space and time to repay. If you don’t repay your friend can file a money recovery suit against you also.

File a cheating case under the BNS for fraud and cheating, basically taking money from you by fraudulent means, collect all factual details and file the FIR. Then send the FIR copy to the so called student. Even if cops don’t register FIR request them to at least make a diary entry of the issue being brought to their notice and take photo of the diary entry. If your student gets spooked by this ask him to return the money and just fo. Hope it works out. Or else if u don’t wanna involve cops name him and shame him on social media and declare him as a fraud online. At least that will tarnish his online image if he is actually a student inform his edu institute also. In all probability if this was actually a student he used ur money for partying or repaying some loan taken from these apps

Don’t be a simp, grow a spine instead of whining away, get a lawyer to prepare for battle. Gather all the evidence of her cheating that you can.

Whatever is the truth, do not proceed with the marriage there are obvious red flags. U can take criminal action against the groom as having physical relationship with the promise of marriage and then deceiving the would be bride can be treated as rape with consent under false promises. The groom will be royally screwed but u need to come up with proper evidence before going on that route. Hire a lawyer and seek legal remedies which will teach this fraud groom a lesson for life.

Inform others see what he is doing to you, he is strategically isolating you so that you cannot seek help. Tell your family and close people about these problems and the hitting. Personally my advise is when things start getting physical like hitting it’s a huge red flag and one should not tolerate and walk out, but I don’t know your life situation so I cannot advise you to walk out. If this is one stray incident u may not have to take such a drastic step but what if this is the begining. Gather evidence, start confiding in others don’t let him isolate you and yes don’t get intimate with him, deny all intimacy till he apologises and begs.
