UYes you can. As it is issued by central goverment. Use it as last resort if you dont have any id of old name probably in case of age < 5.Ui hope you must have scanned 3 pages , 1st page of gazz , the page on which your name change is mentioned and 3rd is old PoI. All 3 makes it complete. Quick Tip : If you dont have old poi handy in case of minors or adult , you can generate abha card ( health card ) instantly from aadhaar card otp from abha site. Its valid under Photo ID issued by central Govt / State Govt Category.UOk, lucky you. State where I stay is putting ALIAS compulsary. I had to enroll aadhaar with ALIAS in the name. Now struggling to name change. According UIDAI website document list , For Complete Name Change , Gazette is required Along with Old PoI.

Further they have updated the SOP for Aadhaar operator too.

UNowadays they started putting ALIAS in birth name correction. If your old name is X Y Z and new name is A , then corrected birth certificate would be X alias A Y Z . Please confirm this at local Bith And Death office before making any change. For Aadhaar name change ( Major ) Gazette notification is required now.
